Abstract

After presenting Optimized framework for Online Admission Systems with Reference to Professional Programmes in previous research paper this paper presents Design patterns and Expert System for Online Admission Systems. Framework addressed using design pattern is easier to reuse, maintain, flexible and extensible. Strategy pattern and proxy pattern are used in the system. For requirements collection an expert system is developed which asks few questions regarding the requirements for the system and gives suggestions and approximate budget for the system to be build. Depending on number of students, system suggests three types of online admission systems namely Basic Admission System, Advanced Admission System and Premium Admission System. CLIPS tool is used to develop this expert system.
